New: Artists in the Shop Series

This summer, the Garden Shop is proud to showcase a different local artist each week through our new Artists in the Shop series. Every Sunday afternoon from June 28 to August 30, visitors can meet the featured artist, enjoy live demonstrations, and gain insight into the inspiration and techniques behind their work. Many artists will have works available for purchase, along with opportunities to commission custom pieces.

The series begins on Sunday, June 28, 12 to 4 p.m. with botanical artist Joan McGivney, who will showcase her oil painting practice. Through a live demonstration, Joan will reveal how she uses this versatile medium to capture the remarkable light, colour, and beauty found throughout the Garden.

The Garden Shop proudly supports local and Canadian artists by showcasing thoughtfully curated, handcrafted goods inspired by nature and community. We’re delighted to welcome a new collection of greeting cards by Canadian artist Janet Hill, known for her dreamy illustrations inspired by gardens, animals, quiet moments, and everyday magic.

Perfect for sending a thoughtful note, framing as a small piece of art, or tucking away for future occasions, these beautifully illustrated cards bring warmth and imagination to any season.

Local and Sustainable

Explore Garden Pillows & Aprons by Toronto fashion designer Kate Austin, botanical stationery from Toronto multidisciplinary artist David Johns, handcrafted terracotta planters from British Columbia, and Mini-Me orchids, perfect for brightening any small space.

The Shop is supported and staffed by a dedicated team of Volunteers, who generously give their time to the Garden and to you.

    The Garden Shop is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    The Visitors Centre is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

    Hours are extended for concerts and special events.
