Prayer Plant Red (Maranta leuconeura “Erythroneura”) 4" pot
A tropical plant native to Brazil, red prayer plant is a popular and attractive houseplant. Its scientific name is Marantha and the variety is ‘Erythroneura,’ which means red veins in Latin. The red veins are in a herringbone pattern, giving rise to another of the plant’s names, – herringbone plant.
Light - Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. Not suited for intense, direct sun.
Water every 1–2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out half way down between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
Marantas can be sensitive to hard tap water. Try using filtered water or leaving water out overnight before using.
